Day One! Hi My name is Cheap Chick!

Welcome to my blog! I am a 29 year old who loves to save money...well, loves to have money saved :)
In college when I lived in a tiny apartment with my now (and verrryyy tall...not so great for tiny spaces :)) husband, we always thought about the future. We thought, wow, if we get a job making triple what we do now (around minimum wage...if not less) what would we do with all the extra money??? We will be rich!
Well...turns out, as your paycheck grows so do your wants and needs. And a number that looks big on paper can play out quite differently in real life.
So, I began saving anyway/where I could.
I also did not want to give up my lifestyle in the process, my husband and I eat mostly very healthy and organic products(which can be very expensive). We love traveling, going out and about, eating at fancy resturants as well as entertaining. None of these habits are very budget friendly. I also love fashion and crafting...and LOVE to shop...which everyone knows is NOT budget friendly at all.
So for years I have been getting more and more thrifty, with my couponing, sale finding and all around cheap living. And we have saved so much money! I am amazed at how easy it is with the right tools and a little patience.
So I start this blog to hopefully share with others that can use it as well as hold myself more accountable when I do go a bit overboard.
