She's Crafty

I have been crafting it up lately! I will show you my project once it is complete but it is actually for a friend so I do not want to ruin the suprise.

Crafting is an awesome and cheap way to get things you want for free or super cheap!! For instance, I am doing a complete re-arrange of my living room someday soon (I hope!!) and I needs some new art work for over my mantle.

I searched last weekend and found loads of things I liked for $150 and up!!! And I am not spending that much unless it is perfect perfect perfect...and even then....

Well I found this project on an awesome crafting blog : How About Orange.

I have not made the above art work yet...but I love it!!!! And I can tailor it to my space color wise and size wise. Also I can use different cut outs...(if leaves aren't your thing)! I think between the canvases and the paint and supplies (I have painters tape and newspaper around the house) I can do this for under $20...plus I have 50% off Michaels coupons for last weeks paper!! (These are in Sundays paper 98% of the time) I will keep you posted.....

p.s. if I can get my act together maybe I can make a She's Crafty a weekly entry too!!!
